Meet our Founder

Niki Camarena has dedicated her career to serving nonprofit organizations big and small as well as community and private family foundations in roles focused on philanthropy. From fundraising to grantmaking, Niki has worked to diversify and increase organizational revenue streams, increase memberships and enhance current and prospective donor communications, engagement and stewardship over the past two decades. She has had the opportunity to be a part of various teams that have awarded and fundraised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations serving urban and rural communities throughout Colorado.

Niki understands the opportunities that nonprofits and grantmaking organizations have to make a lasting impact in their communities. She also understands the pressures and challenges organizations face as they navigate limited budgets and staff. As Founder of Big Sky Collaborative, Niki aims to use her best-practices-focused knowledge and wide-range of philanthropy experience to help organizations amplify their impact.

In her free time, Niki enjoys time spent with her family and friends, practicing yoga and gardening.
